Spacescaping Studio is a spatial design, urban regeneration, and AI-assisted design practice founded by Berk Koşar.
The studio works across architecture, urban strategy, cultural memory, digital tools, and spatial experience. It explores how spaces can become more meaningful when physical environments, digital systems, collective memory, stories, and tools are designed together.
“We shape space, and space shapes us.”
Founder
Berk Koşar is an architect from Istanbul working across architecture, urban regeneration, BIM, GIS, AI-assisted design tools, and digital spatial experiences.
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in Istanbul, with a minor in Interior Design, and completed his graduation project at Poznań University of Technology in Poland. He later received his Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Regeneration from Sapienza University of Rome.
His work explores how architecture and urban design can respond to contemporary spatial experience, where space is no longer experienced only as physical form, but also through digital systems, cultural narratives, memory, media, and data.
Recognitions
Spacescaping and Nova Urba have been recognized through Berk Koşar’s research and design work in international urban design and sustainability contexts.
Spacescaping was recognized in the C40 Cities + Ove Arup Foundation Youth Vision for Green & Thriving Neighbourhoods Challenge as a living framework where ideal, digital, and physical spaces co-evolve through interaction, collective knowledge, and shared visions for greener and more thriving neighbourhoods.
Nova Urba is a related but distinct urban regeneration model developed through Berk Koşar’s master’s thesis:
“Nova Urba: Spacescaping through Interactions for Regenerative Urbanism.”
Through Nova Urba, the Spacescaping framework was expanded into a practical model for regenerative urbanism, civic participation, ecological thinking, and future spatial experience.

From Research to Studio
Spacescaping Studio was created to bring this research into practice.
What began as a theoretical and urban regeneration framework has evolved into a studio working across architectural concept design, urban regeneration strategy, spatial storytelling, AI-assisted design workflows, and digital space design.
The studio helps projects move from context to concept, from concept to story, and from story to spatial experience.
Framework
Memory → Story → Tools → Space
Today, this becomes:
Data → Story → Tools → Space
- Data reveals context.
- Story gives direction.
- Tools make transformation possible.
- Space becomes experience.
Spacescaping uses this framework to connect collective memory, cultural narratives, digital systems, AI-assisted workflows, and spatial design into one process.
It does not treat physical, digital, and ideal spaces as separate worlds. It sees them as connected layers of contemporary spatial experience.
Incubation
Spacescaping is currently being developed within the BTM Istanbul entrepreneurship ecosystem, supporting its growth from a design research framework into a broader studio, platform, and spatial technology ecosystem.
This includes ongoing work on services, digital platforms, urban regeneration models, cultural memory tools, and AI-assisted design workflows.
Mission
Our mission is to create more meaningful spatial experiences by connecting physical, digital, and ideal spaces through design, technology, collective memory, and storytelling.
We help architecture, urban, and creative projects understand their context, define their core idea, communicate their value, and transform into clear spatial systems.
Vision
We believe the next phase of design will not be defined only by faster production.
AI and digital tools can now generate images, models, interfaces, and worlds. But speed alone does not create meaning.
The real question is how we can create more meaningful spatial experiences by connecting physical, digital, and ideal spaces.
Spacescaping Studio approaches this question through architecture, urban regeneration, cultural memory, spatial storytelling, digital tools, and AI-assisted design workflows.
The goal is not only to produce space faster, but to make space more meaningful, more connected, and more responsive to the way people experience the world today.
