Manifesto
Space was always ideal.
Then it became physical.
Now it is digital.
We experience all three as one.
Yet they are still designed apart.
Spacescaping exists to change that.
We translate memory, story, and experience
into tools, systems, and spaces,
where the ideal, the physical, and the digital
finally converge.
FAQ
Spacescaping is a design and research ecosystem founded by Berk Koşar. It works across physical, digital, and ideal space through three surfaces: Spacescaping Studio (design practice), Spacescaping Lab (research), and Spacescaping.co (community platform for creative minds).
Space is more than physical environment. It includes the physical places we inhabit, the digital systems we move through, and the ideal spaces shaped by memory, story, imagination, and experience. Spacescaping designs for all three as one.
Spacescaping Studio is the design practice of the ecosystem. It works across architecture, urban projects, digital tools, and platforms, both on client commissions and on its own initiatives. The common thread is space, designed as physical, digital, and ideal at once.
Spacescaping Studio works with developers, institutions, and partners on architecture, urban projects, and digital products. Spacescaping Lab engages with researchers, universities, and public bodies. Spacescaping.co is open to creative minds across design, architecture, research, and technology.
Spacescaping was founded by Berk Koşar, an architect who developed the spacescaping approach during his master's thesis at Sapienza University of Rome. The approach received the Ove Arup Outstanding Projects Recognition in the Youth Vision for Green and Thriving Neighbourhoods competition. As part of his thesis, Berk also developed Nova Urba, an urban renewal model for Istanbul Buyukcekmece, which was entered into the Students Reinventing Cities competition and earned a 3rd place Honourable Mention.
Spacescaping Studio is launching soon. Contact details and project inquiries will be available at launch. Until then, follow along through the social channels below.
